At the end of World War II, Eva Muller and Zoe Lambros flee to Australia to seek refuge from war-ravaged Europe and forge a new life.

Their enemies have been vanquished and a new life awaits them but nothing is ever what it seems. As refugees they struggle with prejudice and intolerance but that is the least of their worries. Shadows from
their past bring a new danger into their lives. They are about to find out the hard way that moving thousands of miles away does not protect them from those that wish them harm.
